Unused design
Logos, gauge faces, and replica-race paint illustrations that were not the production standard. Plus the unnumbered “No Name” practice 1125R and a still of a Ronin at Magpul’s Texas HQ around 2015. Captions follow the original files and the @the4t7 posts that published them. These were unused or concept unless a caption says otherwise.
Early marks for Ronin and The Forty-Seven. The 2010 concept / 2014 the47 pair and the unused kanji / RŌNIN sheet were posted on @the4t7, 4 Dec 2024 and 5 Dec 2024. Studio sheets below are from the original logo-work PDFs.
Early gauge-face designs using the stock Buell gauge and display software. The idea was to switch the face with each series; a single final design was based on a traditional aircraft cockpit gauge. Posted @the4t7, 4 Dec 2024. Motogadget and indicator-icon sheets are from the original studio PDFs.
One of the most striking Ronin series was the replica-race paint versions. Only six were made, each a different theme. These are original concept illustrations for them — unused as drawings, even where a related production bike later existed. Posted @the4t7, 3 Dec 2024.
The backup Ronin racer: an unnumbered 1125R with chain drive, used by Travis Newbold for race prep while #1 Oishi Yoshio (1190RX) was being built for Pikes Peak. One of a handful of non-numbered test Ronins for design, quality control, and race prep. The factory FAQ already says there were 4 pre-production test bikes plus the 2009 concept — this is that practice bike, not one of the 47. Posted @the4t7, 6 Dec 2024.
The Magpul Ronin motorcycle displayed at Magpul’s Texas HQ sometime around 2015. Posted @the4t7, 4 Mar 2026.
